Dr. Ives grew up in Southern California and earned her bachelor’s degree in Science and Technology Studies from New York University in 2020, with minors in Game Design and Digital Media. She later earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota in 2026.

During veterinary school, Dr. Ives volunteered with local cat rescues and community outreach clinics, where she helped provide veterinary care for cats and dogs in her community. Through these experiences, she developed a strong interest in community medicine and preventive care.

Dr. Ives especially enjoys working with cats, including fearful or nervous patients who may need extra support during their visits. She received the FelineVMA Outstanding Senior Award for the University of Minnesota in recognition of her dedication to feline health and has completed additional training as a Fear Free Certified Veterinarian and Cat Friendly Veterinarian.

Outside of work, Dr. Ives enjoys playing video games, spending time with her cat, Bellatrix, and searching for the perfect iced coffee.
