Angela Smith

Dr. Smith graduated in 2019 from the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, she moved back home to Texas where she completed a residency in feline practice at Just Cats Veterinary Services. Dr. Smith is currently pursuing board certification through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. 

Dr. Smith is on the executive board of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and volunteers on their feline welfare and conference planning committees. Dr. Smith is also on the Texas Veterinary Medical Association’s animal welfare committee. 

Dr. Smith is fear free certified. Her passion is low-stress handling and improving the cat's experience in the clinical setting. 

Dr. Smith is currently pursuing veterinary acupuncture certification via the Chi Institute. She is excited to offer this treatment to patients in the future! 

Dr. Smith earned her bachelor's degree in Animal & Veterinary science from Clemson University where she graduated magna cum laude with departmental honors. While in college, she was on the Clemson University Equestrian Team and during her senior year, she was the Hunt Seat Team Captain.

While in veterinary school, she received the American Association of Feline Practitioner's Senior Student Award for the University of Pennsylvania in 2019. 

Dr. Smith’s special areas of interest include internal medicine, welfare, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. She particularly enjoys caring for senior cats and improving their quality of life. 

Dr. Smith shares her home with her three cats-Newt Scamander, Teddy, and Princess Kate. She has a 26-year-old horse named Money Man whom she is convinced is the love of her life. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, drinking coffee, and gardening.
