Dr. Heather Sims graduated from Mississippi State University summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science in 1999.  She graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine with honors in 2003.  For 3 years she practiced in San Antonio, TX at Alamo Feline Health Center, a specialty practice for cats.  She is the author of several chapters on feline medicine and surgery in the veterinary textbook “The Feline Patient”.   Since 2007, she worked in the Nashville, TN area in small animal practice and for a mobile ultrasound specialty practice. Dr. Sims has been a member of the Feline Medical Center team since 2016.  Her interests are in preventative medicine, diagnostic ultrasound, dentistry and surgery. She lives in the Clear Lake area with her husband, two sons, two cats (Babbs and JJ) and two dogs (Sammy and Aubrey).
