Amanda grew up in the Houston area, and started her career as a small animal vet tech in high school. After graduating, she moved to Nacogdoches to attend Stephen F. Austin State University where she was a large animal and emergency medicine veterinary technician. She transitioned to human medicine and spent several years working her way into management and eventually becoming an Ophthalmic surgical scrub technician. Her true passion has always been working with animals and returning to work in the Veterinary Medicine field.
Amanda joined Feline Medical Center in 2019 and enjoys her time helping animals and people. She and her boyfriend have 4 dogs (all are former street or shelter dogs) as well as 2 horses. In her time off she enjoys traveling, binging Netflix, trying new food, and spending time outdoors.
