Your Cat's Diet
Our veterinarians are concerned about your cat's nutrition. The right nutrition can enhance your cat's health and extend the life of your companion. Although general recommendations can be made, there is not one diet that is best for every cat. The “right” diet for your cat is one that helps maintain an ideal body condition (not overweight or underweight), fosters a healthy coat, promotes normal stools, and minimizes vomiting. Talk to your veterinarian about nutrition during the wellness examination; we will address the specific needs of your cat and counsel you on nutritional options that are available.
Nutritional supplements are generally not necessary if a high quality diet is fed and a cat is in good health. However, supplements are often recommended to help treat arthritis, skin or coat ailments, and intestinal disorders.
